I took the day off and went to the woods yesterday. We picked Morel mushrooms.
Just to get the perspective......
Suffice it to say, we will be eating them for a few days.....speaking of......I didn't realize that I have two shows back to back this weekend,( Baraboo and Kaukauna) and that I leave next week Thursday morning for Door County (Jacksonport) for the show....and, hubby wants to do another on Monday because of the Holiday weekend.....*faint*.....I guess I have been dawdling long enough, now I have to get my "on the road" work done........I will try to keep in touch, regardless.......have a great day!!!!!

I can't believe you have such bounty! Re - drying them - most mushrooms are great dried, somehow they take on a really salty savoury flavour, and you don't need many to pop into a soup to add lots of oomph, like a stock cube. You don't even need a special dyer, just an airing cupboard will do.
